I’ve served as project lead, architect, and manager in software development at different organizations from startups through growth companies through megacorps. Before that, I was a lecturer at Harvard and Hebrew Universities. Read about my work experience and education.

More about me:

  • I did a PhD and was a lecturer at Harvard on Semitic Philology.
  • I’m concerned about existential risk, and particularly risk from artificial general intelligence.
  • I have a sense of humor.
  • I got a black belt in Shotokan Karate from Sensei David Johnston’s Shoshin school.
  • I noticed an oil extraction project stealthily launching in a nearby national park. The project, backed by Dick Cheney and Rupert Murdoch, and several other foreign billionaires, was going to heat the park’s undersoil to 350 °C for 2 years until oil leaked out. I quickly launched a website and arranged major media coverage. A national-wide coalition grew over the next four years and succeeded in stopping the project.
